We have been working this past term on reading music. I know it can be daunting when you have never read music before, but there are a few websites you can look at to get some help if you need it. Here are a few of my favorite:
www.musictheory.net- This is a great website for music theory that includes lessons, exercises, and tools.
oneminutemusiclesson.com- This website has one minute videos that explain the fundamentals of pitch, treble/bass clef, the piano keyboard, and accidentals, among other things.
teoria.com- Under the tutorials section, there are many lessons on reading music that include note values and note names, in case you need a review in both areas.
There are many other websites, but these are just a few places that could help.
